Of course, the reason why I decided to study in the University of Tokyo was its fame in the field of steel research. However, since I sent the first e-mail to MEM office, I have found that international students can obtain more than just academic achievements in the University of Tokyo. MEM program has offered me many activities so that I could meet international friends from various fields/cultures and easily understand Japanese culture. If the virtues you are pursuing include communication skill and understanding diversity, MEM program will be the best choice for you.
